The Early Church Fathers: Pillars of Our Catholic Faith
The Early Church Fathers were the holy bishops, theologians, and teachers who guided the Catholic Church during its first eight centuries. Living in the foundational eras of Christianity, these ancient writers defended the orthodox faith against early heresies, helped formulate the foundational creeds, and preserved the Sacred Tradition passed down by the Apostles. Their writings offer an invaluable window into how the earliest Christians worshipped, prayed, and understood the teachings of Jesus Christ..

The Seven Sacraments: Channels of Divine Grace
In the Catholic Church, the Seven Sacraments are sacred, outward signs instituted by Christ to confer inward grace upon our souls. They accompany a Catholic from birth to death, sanctifying key moments of life and drawing the faithful deeper into communion with God. Divided into three categories, these sacraments sustain our spiritual journey.
History of the catholic church in Sri Lanka
Saint Joseph Vaz (1651–1711) is revered as the Apostle of Sri Lanka and is the country’s first canonized saint. Born in Benaulim, Goa (India), this courageous Oratorian priest single-handedly revived the Catholic faith in Sri Lanka during a period of severe religious persecution under Dutch Calvinist rule.
